SpecPro provided environmental compliance A&AS support for fuel facilities under the management control of DLA Energy (permitted sites) and for funding environmental costs for fuel facilities that store Defense Working Capital Fund (DWCF) capitalized fuel where the Military Departments have management control (non-permitted sites).
DLA Energy-LEVA funds environmental cost funding in accordance with DoDM 4140.25 Volume 8, DoD Management of Energy Commodities: Energy Commodity Infrastructure Operations for installations that store DWCF capitalized fuel. Funding covers but is not limited to environmental document development and revisions; Leak Detection testing; routine sampling of hazardous wastes; removal and disposal of POL wastes, tank permits and fees; National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents; and capitalized fuel spill cleanup.
