Toxicological and Ecological Research Support Services
Client: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

SpecPro supports the freshwater, ecological and toxicological research at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Great Lake Ecology Division.

We do so by providing scientific information for use in predicting and assessing the effects of pollutants and other stressors on the sustainability of our nation’s freshwater resources.

Under this effort, we offer a broad range of professional technical and facilities management services, including aquatic biologists and technicians responsible for complete management of the MED Culture Unit, which breeds and maintains fish, frogs, invertebrates, and other test flora/fauna for research.

We also maintain all facilities within the Culture Unit, including tanks, plumbing, and electrical systems while our staff performs research and development of breeding protocols and systems.

“SSE has a complete understanding of the contract and requirements, a state-of-the-art understanding of the work, a labor mix appropriate for the work where all staff has a good understanding of their own tasks and responsibilities, a system of immediate resolution of any issues that arise in a timely and effective manner, developed all elements of the invoices and monthly reports to be clear and reasonable, and a Project Manager who is very effective and has excellent communication and organization skills.”
